mako saying he won't hurt her actually makes katara narrow her eyes slightly. it's less because she thinks he actually will try, and more just her being offended at the idea that she'd be easily taken down. granted, she's not a waterbender here, she's a firebender, so she isn't anywhere near as good as she normally is. still. she has two months on him of being here, so she's more used to having a foreign element than he is.
thankfully, she doesn't immediately attack him, like she might have done before she stepped foot onto the fire nation. katara has spent enough time there to understand that not everyone there is evil, they're just... very mislead. she glances at his injured arm before her gaze returns to his face. ]
You know that's not the most believable thing to say when convincing someone, right?
