He has good friends, Keith realizes. It's not the first time this realization has struck him, but it hits hard now. He spent so much of his early life on his own, that it's still surprising sometimes, to have people who care, who he can rely on.
So despite everything going on, he smiles.
He can't see the white lion, but he feels that warmth, and it does ease some of the exhaustion in him. His vision doesn't come back, but the all out darkness eases, and he can at least discern a bit of light and shadow. "That's... that's a little better. Thank you."
