And I'm guessing there are going to be a lot of things like that. I'm already seeing large variances in times and technologies, but... 'phone' seems pretty universal if the world has progressed to an industrial age, too. It makes me wonder how much of human progress is sort of... predestined, no matter where we are as a species.
( it's a pretty predictable path. humans discover industry, they make planes and airships and cars and phones and electric lights. it's almost frustrating, to see those similarities without being able to grasp a bigger picture. he's sure it's there, just that he can't yet make it out. )
