Obviously the only thing to do about it is chase their old teammate down and establish that they're real. And somehow all stuck here together.
He glances at North once more, as if confirming the plan without words (and honestly his friend knows him well enough to predict it, foolhardy as it may be) before bolting after Wash. Unless the other soldier leads them on an all out chase into an area they don't know due to being so new -- or his magic power is something like teleportation or invisibility -- it's unlikely he'll get away.
