Who: Noctis and you!
Where: lakeside
When: post-cavern explorations
Rating pg-13
What: the best hobby in the universe; fishing! primarily fishing, does include some swimming
a: monster of the deep?
[If one goes exploring around the lake, Noctis is back at it again with his fishing rod in hand and a line cast out - but he does seem to be struggling a bit with whatever is on the other end of his reel. Digging his heels in, sinking a bit into the muck at the edge of the lake, Noct grunts with the effort of pulling his arms back. Spying someone, or rather hearing the footsteps before he takes his attention away from the water, he turns his head with a wild sort of smile - this is exciting, despite the struggle.]
Hey! Can you give me a hand? Just give me some extra weight, let's haul this thing to shore! [He's dying to know what he has hooked; though hopefully it isn't a pissed off mermaid. They're smart enough to unhook themselves, aren't they?]
b: seaweed and seafoam
[It's finally time for a break after fishing for the last several hours, and Noct has only ditched his boots on shore when he starts to wade in. The water feels nice, and even if he can spy mermaids further out into the lake, he doesn't quite have intentions to go all that far in. Bending to scoop up a handful of water, he casts a little grin at his company and turns, giving them a light splash that feels more like a misting for how little he could throw it.]
Want to come wading? Water's fine, and it should be safe enough if we don't go swan diving.

[Bending, just letting his hands run through the water as he fishes around and seeks out a handful of mud just to let it slip through his fingers, Noct lets touch guide him as he looks for rocks. Just whatever he could be walking along, vaguely wondering if there is a danger of fishing hooks - probably not for this lake, it was hidden for quite some time he thinks.]

[And it'd ruin them, too. Even if they're hideous and he's certain it'd do everyone a favor not to ever see them again, they belong to Yugi-- not him. He cannot make such a heroic sacrifice for a clothing item that doesn't belong to him. (They're also the only pair in this godforsaken temple that fit him appropriately but that's neither here or there. As for why he's wearing them... well, Accidents Occur When You Have the Memories of Two People in Your Head.)]

[To be fair, his pants are leather.... but cargo is way better than the skinny fit. No one likes a wet leather jacket either, honestly, and after a moment he looks back like he's making sure it's leather. Oh yeah, that's leather - and it would be a dick move to still drag him into the lake, wouldn't it...? Probably......]
That's a bit of a shame though, and I'm not about to suggest ditching them just for a swim. [Finding a rock - or a shell? Noct stands up to look at what he has picked up before he holds it more towards the sunlight. It's certainly more shell-like than rock, but he can't quite place what it is. Cone shaped and strange, it's not something he's seen before.]

[The shell is a bit of a curiosity to him, too. He keeps to the shore, no wading in to get a closer look, rather a good squint to try and make out its shape.] A snail's shell?

[Chuckling, even if it's not really as much an issue for himself when he has a team of tailors who custom fit everything he owns to him - well. Ignis usually handled that now.. and with the minimum of clothing around - Noctis realizes it's about to become a struggle. Walking over with that shell though and offering it in his palm, Noct tips his head at it.]
It doesn't feel heavy, so I don't think anything is in it..

Atem glazes his finger tips over shell with pursed lips; it'd be great for a hermit crab or the Temple equivalent...]

[Frowning at the admission, even if it's the truth, Noctis is distracted by the way the shell moves at being touched - and soon little spiny legs peek out, enough that he nearly drops it by the way the creature tickles his hand. Cupping both hands under it instead, but looking around for a way to set it down without straight up dropping it back into the water, he is quick to lean towards the shore and sand, keeping his hands flat and 'safe'.]

[Laughing a little as he imagines leather pants on this funny looking crab, Noct lets it skitter off his hands and click its feet at them, like it can communicate - and more than legs are beginning to seep out of the shell. A couple of beady eyes, a little spider-like mouth, this is definitely about as crab-like as he's seen here.]
Sorry for the rude pick-up, I didn't know what you were.
