Who: Alphinaud & Ann
Where: Some nondescript sketchy alley in El Minha.
When: About a week after arriving.
Rating: PG
What: To his credit he lasted a whole week before nearly getting stabbed to death.
[He'd gotten lost, unfortunately, and by the time he realized he'd wandered into an unsafe area he wasn't sure which way to go to get back out. A week was not quite enough time to memorize the layout of a city of this size. He'd certainly had an easier time getting around lately than he had the first few days but buildings and corners still looked a little too similar. Although he began to carefully retrace his steps to return to the main streets it was in doing so that he was quickly accosted by thieves.
Two hold daggers but the third, presumably the one leading the charge, wields a scimitar. All three have these blades on him and he lifts his hands in what he hopes is a gesture of peace.]
I assure you I have nothing you would find valuable... [He wasn't even carrying any money at this particular moment.
They don't believe him which is what he was afraid of. If he wouldn't cough up any money then maybe they can hold him for some ransom money instead, they decide. They mistake him for a "fancy rich boy" of this city's elite and, well... he supposes they're half right. But they aren't listening to any of his attempts at reason and this is quickly going downhill.
Of course this would happen...]
