[While Simon lacks the subtlety of completely human features, the more obvious telegraphing is there. A glance, and Connor knows that his answer, maybe his own demeanor, is being scrutinized as a result.

It seems to be a growing trend lately. That talk of home seems to plant a small seed of doubt in whomever he’s speaking with — is it a problem on his end? Is he not explaining clearly enough? Is he giving them reason to doubt?
