option a: after mass exodus.
[In light of the King's grand escape, it's no surprise when the merfolk start flocking in droves to the Palace of Wahine. With them comes North, who... looks 1) like she's just itching to do something, and 2) noticeably roughed up as a result of her short stint in the Bridge. Though she isn't gravely injured by any means, she is sporting a couple of superficial injuries that reveal the shiny white plastic that lurks beneath her "skin." A gash on the back of her right hand, a bit of missing "flesh" on some of her fingers, and most egregiously — a cut that extends from her cheek to her jawline.

While she isn't bleeding from any of these, they do make it pretty obvious that she isn't as human as she initially appears. So, you know, that's fun. At least she has a handy dandy spear on her person now. Approach her to ask where she's been? Try to find out what the heckie happened to her? Or just fail at swimming forever and accidentally drift right into her. The world is your oyster.

Alternatively (option a mk. ii??), she may also approach others on her own in order to ask:]

Have you discovered anything new about the King or Princess?

[She'll put up with humans for the deets, apparently. Just ignore the injuries. Thanks.]

option b: hm. bad.
[So. The thing about those shadow monsters? Physical attacks do shit to them. And without the knowledge that her Astoria given ability is the way to go, North will be trying to fight them head on with her spear. The keyword here, of course, is trying.

Anyone looking to assist may want to watch out. After dodging a swipe from one of the beasts, North will promptly careen out of control—]

Shit!

[—and drift right into whoever happens to be closest to her. Unfortunate!]

option c: so, like.
[Is your character injured? Are they sporting any annoying injuries that they wish they could get rid of? Fear not, because North's here to be your local support character.

Which is to say, she'll be swimming over to anyone who looks scuffed up with A QuestionTM.]

Do you need healing?

[... This would totally be more reassuring and/or effective if it weren't for the fact that North looks pretty scuffed up herself, but. Look. Listen. It's fine. She's discovered how to weaponize her power. It's fine. (It is not.)]

wildcard.
[Come up with your own scenario or remix one of the above! I have a plotting comment over here, and anyone is free to hmu on plurk over at [plurk.com profile] beheads.]
