[OPEN] Well. That Didn't Go Quite As Planned
Who: EVERYONE
Where: The Temple of Beginnings
When: Immediately After The End.
Rating: PG-13, may vary by thread
What: You fall, you pick yourself back up and you move on. Or at least, you try.
Fished Out Of Water
One minute, you are witnessing the fabric of an entire world implode as it is literally ripped apart by powers unknown. The next, that tell-tale twist somewhere beneath your sternum, before you are bodily YANKED away from Akvos, away from the ocean and the Queen and the King and the Princess.
And land back on (mostly) solid, dry ground.
Welcome back to the Temple of Beginnings. Don't worry, there's no hurry for you to get back up just yet.
Hey, Howya Doin'?
Once you do get back up, now is the time to be taking stock of the situation - yours, your friends, and even those new merfolk neighbours (who may need a hand getting their fins back into the water). There is also the missing members of the Circle to consider: people who disappeared on the journey to Akvos, and those who never made it back..
(There's also that small matter with a certain 'witchess-san' that may be a cause for concern to some more than others.)
Whatever the case, it's a lot to process right now. Take the time you have, because you don't know if it'll be enough for what you need.
[[ OOC: Here's an open post for threads reacting to the end of the Akvos world hop. Feel free to use the above prompts, and/or make your own! ]]

No, it's okay. I think we're all a little frustrated.
[ Some more than others, some less than others.
And she peers down at the pages before him. ]
What're these?

[There was so much to process after all and no where to keep a record. Making this place had made sense. Even better, it gave him something to do. On the negative side of things though, it was forcing him to remember all that was lost because of what happened. He looks down at his paper sadly.]
I didn't think this time I might be writing the only remaining history of an entire world.

[ She genuinely believes that. All of it, really. Keeping track of things, and she's especially glad to know that Akvos is going to live on in some way. She still feels awful about the fate of that world, and she wishes she could do something, but their hands are tied at this point. She tried so hard ... so she has to try what she can after the fact.
And this gives her an idea, as she reaches in her black pouch to pull out one of the many, many seashells she had been hoarding while she was there. She did it mostly for practicing her seashell-based powers and using them to make charms and bracelets, but she thinks they have a little more meaning to them now.
And she holds the shell out for him. ]
Here, I want you to have this. To go with your notes. It's from Akvos ... I think it might be nice to keep with everything.
[ As further proof that it was really there. ]

He'd been wanting more people to contribute, but he wasn't expecting this. He smiles, Kairi might very well have turned his entire day around.]
Thank you. I was going to try to add some drawings, but to have an actual artifact from that world...that means a lot.
[It's a small gesture, but he imagines it could mean a lot and for him it certainly does. He accepts the shell, already looking around for a proper place to store it or possibly even display it.] You know, if you're interested, you could also add your own observations and stories here. Barabas and I only saw so much, the more information we can put in here from others in the Circle, the better. We'd appreciate your help.

And she smiles even wider when she hears his request, after looking a bit shocked for a moment at it. ]
I'd love to help. There was a lot going on, so it was easy to miss things, huh? [ A small, breathy laugh, to keep the mood light. ] I could try to help drawing things, too.
[ She's not great at it, but she enjoys little craftsy things. It's fun. And it'll be a nice way for her to go back over her memories of the place. ]

[He's glad to hear she's willing to help. They had been managing alright, but honestly he'd feel better if they had more to contribute.]
Oh yeah? We haven't really had much art added yet. I was going to try some sketching myself -- I've been getting practice at drawing maps lately. Though they probably aren't nearly as accurate as to be helpful.

Mm. I could write about what I saw when I first got there. We all could. [ She thinks it'd be nice if everyone contributed something, if they can handle doing so. There'd be a lot of different accounts, that way. ]
Wow ... maps? I think, even if you just got the basic layout, it'd be okay. It doesn't have to be perfect. [ Placing a hand to her chin. She doesn't think she'd be any help with maps, but ... ] I could try ... drawing the mermaids!
[ There are still some left, but it'd help to keep drawings of the world's people anyway, she thinks. And mermaids sound like fun to draw. Even if she has very little artistic ability. It's something fun to do. ]
no subject
[That's what he and Barabas are always trying to do anyway, just get more people to feel comfortable contributing.]
That's a good idea too. It would be helpful to have colors as well, since I know the mermaids who lived closer to the palace had different coloring than those further away.
[He gestures to a nearby crate.]
We keep paper in there so feel free to help yourself with however much you'd like.
