There's no such thing as friction when you're in space, so something that starts moving isn't going to stop moving on its own. You have to spend energy and fuel stopping it.

If we were just drifting, that'd be one thing, but staying completely still is something totally different. [She tries to explain without being condescending. After all, she's learned very well that not everyone here has the experiences she has.

It feels, for her, a little bit like she's explaining that the sky is blue, though.]
