during your time on the horologium, this screen will change accordingly. your repairs and modifications to the ship will be logged for all to see. and by who, exactly?

[His hands clench on the table and he takes a slow breath in to focus. He has a nasty feeling based on recent intel people have told him. The question is, is what he thinks might be a problem the taint left behind? Or the monster itself.

When it was toying with your heads was it like that? [One more question on the heels of that one.] And could the creature still be on the ship?

Bingo. Whatever it was, it was as though it was deriving its power...from our minds. The longer we were in contact with it, the worse it got.

[ she fidgets with her watch for a moment — her eyes flicker down, and she can practically feel her nerves acting up. it's not long before her posture stiffens as well. ]

The doors — stay away from them. If this thing really is still around here, then...there's a chance it's trying to use you all to strengthen its own powers.

[He grimaces. His instincts are right on.] Of course. Was there anything that you recall that weakened its hold on the ship, you, and the crew?

[He gentles his voice one more time as he catches how stiff they’d both become. Anything messing with his head is terrifying and too familiar. So many have gotten their claws in that- He shuts the door on those thoughts. He can’t afford them now or ever.]
