[Maes is assaulted by the smell and he can only imagine how much more potent it is for a shifter like Barabas. He watches as Lotor tests out his power and nods, plucking a flash light from his belt and shining it into the darkness ahead. Nothing moves. Everything is still. For now. Maes keeps his voice low, though in this eerie quiet it feels like it travels anyway. It doesn't matter, he feels like they need to establish this now before they proceed much further. Maes isn't going down here again without a clear exit strategy, especially now that it seems his teleporting is back on.]
As you are both probably aware, the creature uses shadows to its advantage. Our powers are as they should be for now...which means if the worst happens I'd like you to both grab my shoulder. I can teleport us away from it and we can try losing it like it kept trying to lose us down here.
[He's not sure if he can get them back up the elevator shaft as that would depend on whether or not they are five miles from it -- the ship is huge though but surely not THAT big. Of course that all depends on their abilities working as they should and Maes knows that even before they came down here that his powers did NOT agree with this ship. He hadn't even been able to teleport down this way before.
