[A - Wake Up Wake; Closed to York] [North's sleep is surprisingly a deep one. The past few weeks haven't been the most restful, plagued with nightmares and other bouts of restlessness, but it's tonight that he sleeps through the night. And he dreams, though upon waking, he couldn't tell you what about. He just remembers warmth and light mostly. And a voice, Pelor he seems to know somehow, calling for an oath.
But he doesn't recall that until later. For the moment he is waking up and is vaguely aware that the bed seems more comfortable than usual. Enough that he almost wants to role over and sleep in, which is odd since he's usually an up an at 'em sort of person. But the raucous sounds wafting up and the light coming in through the window are making that difficult. Which brings up a new question. The temple isn't usually that loud.
Finally waking up properly, North opens his eyes to find himself in a very different room. This was not where they were so there must have been another world jump. He would, really, like some warning when those happen. He doesn't have his armour this time but at least he has his watch.]
York? Where are you, man? I think we jumped worlds again.
[B - Hail and Well Met; Network]
[North is so glad they have the watches. This is going to make this so much easier.]
So uh, good morning, I guess? Hope everyone is...adjusting. This is, a new one, for me.
Got a few questions.
First...does the name Pelor mean anything to anyone?
Second...[And there's a bit of a pause because he's trying really, really hard not to laugh] ...Is it normal for tieflings to scare themselves with their own tails? Literally asking for a friend here.
[C - Wake Up and Get Yourself to Church ; Exploration] [Needless to say, it's been a wild morning. New world jump, new form, new a lot of things and North just needs to take a walk and clear his head, get a few things in order. He doesn't have a destination in mind per say, but it would be good to get a sense of the world they're in now. It certainly seems more friendly than the last one. And he'll gladly take mission directives of Have Fun!
But taking stock. So far he can handle being in a weird, fantasy-dungeons and dragons-rpg type world. And he thinks he can handle this whole half-elf deal. Ranger even, makes sense. He thinks, though it might require a bit of research. It's Paladin that he's stuck on. He's never been the religious type and it's kind of weird to have been selected by a deity. And he can't say he's really sold on the whole Oath deal as well.
It's probably unsurprising that his wandering takes him to a temple, though it's hard to say if that's intentional or not. But now that he's here, he might as well take a look, right? Ask someone?
Except for the part where he's not. He's just standing outside, considering.]
So, uh, is there a protocol to this?
[D - So this gnome named Craig posts a list ; Task Board] [This is another thing that North can handle. Missions make sense and so he's looking to make some money. That seems to be the best thing to do at this point, especially if they need a place to stay.]
I was just at that temple, so I think we can handle a few bats? But I wouldn't mind checking out outside the city, if you want to go?
