[ When Matthias shows up at the dusty coffer, he's in plate armor so bright it seems almost to be glowing, and although this world has kept him human it's seen fit to regrow his hair, which flows in silken waves down to his shoulders for the first time in over a year. With a shield and sword to deal with as well, he's a bit burdened and conspicuous, but he didn't feel comfortable leaving behind what he'd been given in the room. Not with the world being unfamiliar -- he might need them.
He scans the tavern twice before he realizes that the tiefling at the far table is Kaz, and has to do a double take. White skin notwithstanding, he looks like an actual demon now -- horns curling from his forehead, eyes shining solidly, no irises anymore. It's extremely disconcerting but Matthias makes his way over to the table anyway, coming to a stop on the far side across from Kaz. ]
