Not exactly, at least, not the version I was taught to play as a kid.

[He turns his attention back to the line of kids.]

Okay, I'm 'it.' The goal of the game is to make your way across the room to me, take this object [He holds up a copper piece between his fingers], and return to your side of the room. However, you can only move when my back is turned -- otherwise if I catch you moving then everyone has to return to the other end. If I am looking at you, you have to freeze in place and hold it for as long as I'm looking at you. If you manage to get this copper piece then you will need to return with it to your side and try to keep it hidden from me. If I find it, you have to start over again as well.

[The kids whisper to each other for a moment, seeming to verify if they understand the rules, making a strategy, Maes takes the pause to address Ruby again.]

Do you want to watch or go join the kids and see if you can help them win?
