what's the best way to steal a man's wallet? [closed]

Who: murder babies squad (aka kaz brekker, inej gafta, mattias helvar, nina zenick)
Where: at the house of an aristocrat in zledfield
When: three days into the jump.

What: some criminals have some crimes to commit.

[ the plan was simple enough, all things considered. granted, anything would be simple compared to the impossible task of breaking someone out of the ice court, or anything kaz brekker had begun to start planning in the fact of van eck's betrayal.

this was a simple job. thieving. it was back to kaz's roots, and inej's as well. nina and mattias (definitely mattias) didn't necessarily have the resume that the other two did when it came to breaking, entering, and burglary. but that didn't matter. kaz had a team here, and he was going to use it.

kaz had gathered whatever information he could on the manor itself. while the servants weren't necessarily big on talking to suspicious looking strangers, he could still get some of the more important pieces of information. where the kitchen in, where there are other entrances, where the guards take watch and where they switch their shifts. he puts all of this information together in one, (again) simple, plan.

inej and mattias were to check the front door - they both looked the part, so acting the part of traveling religious messengers should be easy enough. it would allow them to know a few things. one- the process at which servants came to the door. two, how ready were the gryphons they had been warned to watch out for were to jump on innocents, and three, if the man himself were home.

( what they did not know, or at least mattias did not know, was that kaz had intercepted an official summons from the guild of miramar a day prior. he had then gone on to copy said official summons, and send it to the aristocrat himself. if all things went well, said aristocrat would be dealing with miscommunication at the guild this very moment, and it would give them plenty of time. )

meanwhile, kaz and nina would get across the moat and into the back of the house, finding another, more passable entrance, and the general layout of the home. if this man was anyone like kaz expected him to be, he could guess where the safe would be. mattias and inej were to provide support in terms of the attack gryphons, a distraction at the front door, and if no one was home - well. the job would hopefully be done by that point too.

he will admit, he's going into this with a little less information than he'd like. but a sudden surge of confidence in his abilities, alongside the fact they would soon be out of this city anyway, and were all in fairly desperate need of cash, meant that this was their best bet. now it was just a matter of it all falling into place. ]

Everyone know their jobs? [ he looked around at the other three quickly, a final confirmation before they all separated and went on their way. ] This is no ice court, so I expect flawless execution.
