i. just a little guy in a big world--
"Excuse me, could you just--"
"Little guy coming through! 'Scuse me, pardon me, thank you!"
"Sorry, I was just trying to--"
"--oww! Hey, watch out up there! You know not everyone's a six-foot willowy elf, you know!"

He's been repeating variations on these exclamations ever since he woke up here in a body half the size he normally occupies as he tries to make his way through the bustling crowds to explore. The little gnome is dark-haired, with a curly mustache he can't seem to keep his own hands off of, and a chipper disposition that rivals even that of a typical gnome.

When he bumps into strangers (are you one of those strangers?) he's likely to apologize first, excepting cases in which his little foot gets stomped on or he's knocked onto his rear. He's used to scooting out of smaller folks' ways, not having to rely on other folks noticing his size and accommodating for him. So, he gets it, but the later in the day he has an interaction like this, the more exhausted he is about it all.

ii. genre savvy
All of the contents of Ray's backpack are spilled out on the table in front of him, and he's sorting through them with a manic intensity of someone hurrying through someone else's belongings in search of something specific.

"Daggers and a sling, that's points to thief. A book of rituals and staff, though..." he trails off for just a moment before inhaling a sharp breath and jumping up directly onto the table with a happy shout.

"I'm a mage!" With that, his little arms extend joyously away from him, fingers splaying as a shower of red and blue sparks emit from him. Then, as any good gnome should, he proceeds to dance on the table, shooting sparks and making quite a scene. Hopefully, the establishment's owner will let him collect his things before throwing him bodily out?

iii. event catch-all: games, boats, etc!
He struggles with most of the games, and the jousting, and watches the row boat preparation from afar. Rather than the hesitance of someone out of their element, he's filled with curiosity. Once Ray realizes that his new stature affords him the ability to slip through the spaces most folks can't, he learns how to get a close look at the festivities.

He wants to participate, but he's not sure he's got enough command over his new body, being used to crossing a room in a few strides. Already a too touchy-feely fellow, he at least has no qualms about yanking on someone's sleeve before asking who they think might win, or if they've played before.

Pretty much if nothing above appeals, he's very likely to just cheerfully bother you...

( ooc | feel free to wildcard some other starter, or PM me to arrange something together! if genre savvy scoots too close to 4th wall breaking for your tastes, lmk and i'll pull it way back ♥ )
