except for when he hears his name, just high enough above the crowd for him to make out exactly who it is coming from, and vax's eyes open - almost confused - before he turns to see the source of it. that is when he sees her, dressed in something stunning (of course) probably to go to whatever is to follow the lanterns. he doesn't really care as to why, really, because all it takes is a glimpse of her for a grin to break out over his face.
