[Caduceus would of course deny any accusation of being a mind reader. He just listens well and has done so for a long time. You learn a lot about people during the grieving process and so he'd become quite observant over the years. It's why he'd spotted the halfling woman watching him in the first place.

Following that, he does pick up on the fact that she's nervous, but there could be any number of reasons for that. After all, he's a stranger and a good deal taller than her...just to name a few things.

Well, before I was wandering around here, I was on a bit of a quest with another group of interesting individuals. I thought they might help me find a solution to save my home. I think they still might, but a wish might be some good assurance.

[His faith had taken a bit of a shaking after reaching Zadash and then continuing to go without signs from the Wild Mother. He felt lost and disconnected, though a recent talk with Jester had done a little to ease his doubts in his mission.
It'd just be nice if he had something, especially now that he was really lost.

The problem is...I'm not sure if I should wish for a sign or a full out solution.

[Caduceus notices that the halfling woman appears empty handed, despite most people in this area having a lantern, a scrap of paper, or both.]

You don't seem to be interested in wishes yourself. Do you happen to have what you need at the moment?

[Yeah, that's probably not going to do a lot in his favor if he ever has to convince her he's not a psychic.]
