so as they make their way to the inn - where he'll be rooming with firo, a suggestion he happily takes up and runs away wit it, judging by his comments on decorating it - he explains what he's gotten into so far. he returned to the lornful light like nothing had ever happened since he returned on the day he left. daylight found himself slotting back to the adventues of the starship seamlessly enough, getting into some whacky hijinks.
said whacky hikjunks included stopping an assassination, talking down a suddenly sentient starship from holdings it crew hostage, and needing to be rescused from an AI that fell in love with him. for the most part? daylight happily talks about it, laughing now and then when he gets to some details (despite meddy's indignant hoots) and is happy to answer any questions from firo at any point.
he does stagger a bit when he hits a section of a story - meeting an alien scholar who went by erinyes euryale and becoming friends with her, finding her real nice and pretty. daylight makes an obvious face of pain at her name and also... anger? disappointment?
hard to say because he sees they're almost to the inn and is quick to change the subject- ]
Oh wow! This place looks neat. I'm glad you guys were able to find a comfy place to sleep in this time around. [ the water adventures were fun(ish) but poor meddy's biggest struggles there was finding somewhere safe to stay. ]
