[ daylight jumps a bit when his arm is grabbed and his brain freezes up, unsure of how to respond to the turn of events. he actually winces and tries to lean away, as if afraid of getting hit, and, well, given what happened to him before his arrival here-

the only thing that snaps him out of his state is the indignant hooting of meddy, who is currently flapping their wings like they're trying to gesture firo away from day.

it brings him back just enough to remember what's going on and, oh, right- he should do something to calm everything (including himself) down. so he raises his free arm up, trying to awkwardly calm the angrily hooting medbot-turned-owl. ]

Guys! I'm- It's-! [ he needs a second or two to. like he's trying to make himself believe his next words. or maybe gathering the courage to look meedy and firo in the eye. perhaps a bit of both. ] I'm fine! I'm fine, you guys. I swear, Firo. Meddy.

I- It's why I'm walking and stuff without problem, aren't I? [ he pats his chest for emphasis, recalling how he didn't have much of a chassis before his arrival here. ] I- Meddy did a check and everything, just to be sure.

[ and this is where he tries to be funny, his lips quirking up while he sneaks a glance over his feathered friend. ] Er... Much of a check that they can in their state.

[ that gets a peeved hoot! in reply. ]
