[Klan gives something of a doubtful hum at that, but it seems like she isn't interested in continuing a potentially unproductive line of conversation either. She'd mostly just felt the point he raised might have had a more personal basis than a logical one, but if they're not discussing it anymore, then it doesn't really have any bearing on her.]

Well, it's natural to start something like this by gathering information. Until we have a clearer idea of how this started, there's not a lot of point theorising. [Because it's more likely they'll be completely wrong in the end if they're doing it apropos of nothing.]

Oral tradition seems more likely. I guess you could carve in ice like you could stone, but it'd take a hell of a lot of space to store that. But we'll find out once we start looking.

[She runs a finger over the wall, as if to test it.] Figuring out how long it would take this amount of melting to make this city structurally unsound might be more of a problem, though. Assuming the people aren't the ones who start to melt by then.
