[ daylight is a little shy upon realising it's his turn to go on stage, slowly making his way while accompanied by meddy who is trying to give their show of support for their charge. he waves to whoever is there to watch the show, winglets fluttering in anxiety and anticipation before he regains his composure and begins his act.
though he's stilted and awkward at first, his voice barely heard and keeping stockstill at his spot, he becomes more confident, more expressive over time. it shows in the way he gestures and moves and sings, with meddy zipping and twirling about him as a means of encouraging him to continue.
his first series of songs are performed in galateion and one of its languages that he thinks is called aoidie. the best way to describe is singing is that of a bird. daylight seems to all but chirps and croons to the crowd, singing out sweet and simple melodies that speak of stars and stories and everlights. (if someone knew the language he was speaking in, of course.)
his second series of songs are performed in english this time, thank goodness. he's a good singer but not trained in this by any means, evident by him not being able to reach the high notes as he could in some bits. what he lacks in training he makes up in energy and enthusiasm by now, belting out his songs with passion and energy. the songs will be unfamiliar with almost everyone since they're from his world. the best way to describe them is 'glam rock' and what happens when a cheesy motivational 70s song meets a cheesy motivational 80s song - lots of 'yeah!' and air guitar solos.
upon finishing his act and giving a bow to the audience assembled there, daylight bounces away and makes a beeline for the first friendly face. he's practically vibrating in place when he blurts out, ] So! What did you think? Was it too much? Too little? It was super scary and so cool at the same time...!!
