That certainly sounds like something I'm familiar with.

[Working Investigations meant he was constantly on the hunt for answers and solving a case. Of course, his more recent venture into solving a puzzle had been "off the books" and had apparently gotten him into more trouble than he'd bargained for, but Maes wasn't about to let that stop him. For better or worse.]

I'm not sure if one can ever be a pro at something like that. You get better at prioritizing or seeing how dots might connect into a bigger picture...but it's always a challenge because usually no two cases are the exact same. I imagine it's even worse in this case since, well, we're dealing with worlds that are far different from where we originate from.

[Maes shrugs. He's starting to get the feeling that all of them are out of their depth here. He's not sure if that's a reassuring feeling or not.]
