Maes waits for Shiro to get settled, but he tentatively approaches. He's always been too curious for his own good and he wants to 'inspect' this person-turned-lion...machine. Sure the robots here all have interesting designs and come in various sizes, but this is different. This mechanical lion was once a flesh and blood person! If he hadn't seen it, he might not have believed it. Besides, movement has always helped Maes process things.
