Maybe that's why it doesn't bother you so much. My world didn't have technology, a long long time ago. But when humanity arrived, they weren't able to live in harmony with nature. They still aren't, and building more and more skyscrapers and factories and parking lots... it's at a tipping point, before they destroy nature and then themselves.

Even if this place is a world of robots, for robots... it's hard not to see it as a possible future.
