The sight of the biotechnological labyrinth that greets him leaves him lightheaded immediately, forcefully reminded of the wheezing corpses of PATHOS-II, pierced with metal veins and tubing, fused to walls and generators and pumping pneumatic artificial organs, flesh overtaken by machinery like an infection.
It’s not the most encouraging comparison, even if Daylight’s systems look... like they’re better designed, whatever the hell they are. It’s definitely a better setup than Simon’s business, not that this is the best picture of what it’s all like when it’s actually working. But: there are tubes, that connect to things, and right now aren’t connecting right. That’s something like a game plan.
