I'm from Earth, America, 2042. On my Earth there are these people with abilities called metahumans. They were created when there was this big science accident and a lot of people got changed by this explosion of dark matter. Some of them were good people, like the Flash, and they did a lot of good for the city, but there was also a lot of bad too, so when the Flash went missing in 2024 and just ... didn't come back, people started to panic, or, alternatively, not so nice metas found out there was no one to keep them in check, so they started wreaking havoc and then came the Metahuman Registration Act and then this shadowy government agency called ARGUS declared martial law and made being a metahuman - which people had no control over - illegal.
[A beat.]
They also outlawed religion too. Never was really sure what the reasons were for those, probably because in my mind they mostly added up to "garbage."
[*Please note that the narration is pulling most of this out of her ass because the show hasn't told us yet! But eventually I'm hoping that it'll come out, either via the Flash and Barry's future daughter or actually on Legends where it belongs.]
