john williams i'm so sorry (open)
Who: Doctor Aphra and you!
Where: Yes
When: Throughout the sickness event
Rating E for everyone probably
What: Aphra arrives and gets sick yay
WEEK I.
[Although she's only recently arrived, Aphra doesn't seem particularly distressed. After all, things could be worse. Things could be way worse. Her first week she can be found primarily around the stone buildings of the base, trying to read off and interpret the various carvings.]
If this is here, then... hh... hhh... [And then she sneezes over everything. One of the dangers of working around old stuff, she reminds herself. Lots of dusty stuff to make you sneeze.]
WEEK II.
[After having explored a good portion of her surroundings, Aphra's moved onto to investigating specifics, examining each section on its own to see if she can find anything useful. Or profitable, really. She had gone to the fighting ring, and after figuring out its whole deal, had started experimenting with the dummies. Well, she had, but that was before she had suddenly collapsed from exhaustion in the middle of the ring with all the dummies circling her.
Aphra groans, struggling even to stir herself from her own sleepy prison. Her eyes opening up just a smidge, she looks up at either the dummies or whoever's nearby.]
Boss? Y-You promised... Quick 'n easy...
WEEK WHENEVER.
[Doesn't matter where you are, what you're doing, or how much snot is flying out of your nose. Throughout the base, a woman can be seen calling to someone, but not quite in the way others have while under the influence of their illness. Despite everything, she seems rather lucid and focused when it comes to her task. Maybe the person she's searching for is incredibly important?]
Flufto! Flufto, where are youuuuuu!
[Maybe not. If she spots you, you'll get the special privilege of joining in on the Flufto search party.]
Hey, you haven't seen a tooka around here, have you?

Hey, you haven't seen a tooka around here, have you?
Week II
It doesn't. But now he's too tired and weak to get back to bed except in small trips, so here he is, sitting on the ground outside the sparring ring and hating himself.
He's not hallucinating now, at least, so he's about as lucid as someone with a bad fever can be. Lucid enough to notice the dummies advancing on something in the ring and then to notice that there's someone in there.
What kind of idiot would be out here right now (aside from Firo himself)? He means to shout at the person in the ring, but it comes out as more of a groan.]
Hey, what the hell're you doing in there?
no subject
What?
[Her head turns frantically to find the voice calling out to her, but the lightsaber coming at her is pretty distracting. Trying to dodge, she falls back onto the ground. Aphra desperately draws her blaster and takes aim, but he deflects it easily. Or Firo can see that she just missed.]
This isn't what I meant! Please, I'll... [She always knew how this would end, and yet-] I'll do anything!
no subject
Gritting his teeth, he grabs for her arm and tries to tug her along.]
Come on! Let's get outta here.
no subject
Captain Snuggles?
[Wait. She met Tolvan after she left Vader. After she very successfully faked her death. Her vision becomes clearer and she looks at her savior differently now, a little disappointed. Ah, it's just some guy. Still, she's able to carry more of her weight as they exit the ring.
She looks back and of course, there's no Vader either.]
Don't. Say. Anything.
no subject
His step wavers, and he loosens his grip as soon as the dummies are down--but he's not yet too exhausted to glare daggers at her.]
What did you call me?
no subject
Captain Snuggles. I thought you were-
[What are they anyways? Girlfriends? Partners? Were they even friends? All of that seemed way too serious.]
Someone else.
no subject
He rests his elbows on his knees and shakes his head.]
Your friends have weird names.
[He looks her over. She doesn't look injured, but he's not at his sharpest today.]
Did those dummies get you at all?
no subject
It's a nickname.
[Not that Star Wars names are any less weird... Aphra lies back on the ground, figuring she'll wait a bit before she's ready to get up and walk places.]
Nah, I'm fine. Other than... you know.
no subject
Weird nicknames, then.
[Most people would rightly punch someone for calling them that, in his book.]
What were you doing out here if you can barely even walk? Those things could've killed you.
[Do they stop before that? He doesn't know. He doesn't want to find out.]
no subject
[And she is surprisingly snuggly for a sorta maybe Imperial.]
I could walk beforehand. I felt fine. Or, mostly fine. Obviously I'm sick, but it was fine, okay?
no subject
[Look how (not) convinced he is.]
So, what, you were feeling up to a fight in the middle of all this?
no subject
I wasn't gonna fight them. I was just- experimenting. Trying to figure out what makes them tick. I'm good enough in a fight as is. Too much practice and I might just become unstoppable. And that wouldn't be fair, would it?
no subject
Sorry I interrupted your research, then.
[He considers "kindly" offering to drag her back over there so she can continue, but he's not sure if he could manage that physical feat even if he genuinely meant it.
And, mockery aside, he's curious about what she was doing. As near as he can tell, she was talking even before he showed up, but he didn't see anyone else there.]
Were you talking to them?
no subject
Not to them. [Her carefree tone is missing when she thinks about what she saw. She feels cold all over just remembering it.] I thought I saw someone. Something. I've heard it's been happening with the other sick folk here, but never got the pleasure of experiencing it til now.
no subject
With something like sympathy, he comments:]
Pretty bad time for it.
[Not that that really needs to be said, but he feels like the sickness is slowing down his thoughts.]
Do you think you can get back to your place?
