Open - Don't forget me now

Who: Shiro and You.
Where: Temple halls
When: Later stages of the plague event.
Rating pg-13? Round there.
What: Shiro finally slips into the later stages of the plague. Shit is seen that isn't there. Things Heard. Then nothing heard. Fun times.

Option 1: Stage two end

He'd known his time being useful to the Circle was slipping through his fingers. He'd felt the weight of a familiar device on his wrist but every time he reached for it it wasn't there. It's a reminder all the time he's bought himself is fading. He's been good so far, not listening or paying attention to what he knows shouldn't be there.

[1 - A]

But they still make him pause. He isn't as bedridden as most but that just means more time to see things. A trip to get a little fresh air from the hall becomes a no go when he opens the door and there is the glass-like floor and the glimmer of the stars from within the Black Lion. He stands in the doorway and stares at it for longer than he should.

His attention snaps to the first person he sees set against the timeless expanse of space. "Hey, how is everyone?" He expects they've all been bad, but asking distracts his mind from the sense time is slipping away and there's none to be had. He steps into the hall and there's stone under his bare feet. Stone. Yet the stars remain. Super. "...yes, I'll go back to bed in a moment. Please, just answer me."

[1 - B]

He feels well enough to consider shifting one last time. His final stall. He steps into the hall and a familiar and dangerous noise in the hall makes him turn towards it. He doesn't think. He just changes automatically and spins to face the purple-furred alien he can see out of the corner of his eye. Sendak. His snarl rolls through the air just before everything clears up. He blinks, metal jaws closing with an audible clank.

...so I've reached that point.

Sendak isn't there. It's only the hall and the temple full of people he can hear shifting about. It's not the traffic he's used to. There should be more sounds. He sits, staring straight ahead. This is it. He can't leave the room anymore. It feels like the world has gotten so much smaller to decide that.

Option two: Stage 3

The end of seeing things from the pale light cast on metal walkways to the burn of madness in the eyes of an Emperor he took on himself...comes with silence. No more poison spit into his ears. No roars of the crowd howling for blood. No voices he recognizes. Shiro slips out of bed and scans the room carefully. The room looks exactly as it should.

He never got over looking up in the bathroom mirror and seeing a sickly purple glow in his own eyes. He'd started checking every inch of the bedroom when he was lucid after that. "Okay. ...I don't feel feverish?" His lips move and he is sure he spoke but he doesn't hear a damn word of it. He holds up a hand in front of his face and snaps his fingers.

Nothing.

He sighs and walks out of the room. Not hearing he'll just have to deal with. If he's capable of walking he can check on everyone and see what news is to be had. He pushes the door open and grabs his coat from near the door, pulling it on. "Hey," He ignores the discomfort of speaking but not hearing himself. "Hey." Right he should glance around. He looks around for anyone that may be close by or at least stopped when he called out. "...maybe you should...get some paper." His voice sounds shades off, but at least he seems lucid.

By this point she's almost more interested in what he has to say than the fact that he's legitimately the Black Lion. Maybe she'd never get used to that part. Despite how she might feel about it, she can't help feeling slightly disappointed when he suggests that she might not be able to change her form. "I wonder how long it's gonna take to figure out what I can do." Though to be fair, she hadn't really been trying, because she wasn't really sure what to do.

"Shouldn't you be resting now, then?" Not that she's really expecting him to go do so right now, but he had brought it up. "I'm sorry you got sick." It's never fun, and she doesn't like feeling like there's nothing she could do to help. "Oh uh... I have a general idea of what's going on. People are here to save the universe or something?" It definitely sounds familiar, if nothing else.

Yea, all that sounds suspiciously like what they've already been doing with Voltron. Maybe that's why they're all here. Though if that's the case, why not bring the Lions with them? Wouldn't Voltron be helpful? "I wonder what's keeping her trapped here." The same thing keeping everyone else trapped here, perhaps? Either way, she blinks a little at the sudden hand pats.

And that... actually made sense. "Can you just stay like that until people get over whatever this is? Does it work like that?" She really has no idea. But since nothing spectacular happened when he touched her, she's inclined to believe that the trigger for whatever it is has to be something else. "Hmm. Okay..."

At this point, she's willing to try just about anything. So she closes her eyes and concentrates. At first, nothing happens. Not willing to give up, she reaches again. It's not her connection with Green. That's completely cut off, but there's something, and that's what she focuses on. There's no flashy light show, or any indication that anything is happening at all, unless he happens to be looking at a nearby potted plant. It had been dead earlier, but now it appears to be coming back to life. Slowly.

"What's the limit? And what kind of side effects?" It's not terribly surprising to learn that there are limits, though, because it doesn't seem likely that Astoria would be pulling people here and then giving them unlimited unknown magical abilities. Still, she can't help feeling curious about the limits of Shiro's gift, specifically. "Have you ever tried to go the full twelve hours?" Because she probably would.

When he speaks up again, Pidge blinks and turns her head to look at him. And sure enough, there was something going on with the plant. So she makes her way over and leans in close to get a better look at it.

"Well that was a little unexpected... but really cool." There's no question of that, really, even if it wasn't something she would have chosen for herself. "I guess the powers we get are random?" Unless Astoria had some way of knowing about what happened on Olkarion, which doesn't seem terribly likely.
