open ♡ can't a girl just do the best she can?
Who: Korwa & you!
Where: around the temple
When: arrival + throughout the rest of the month
Rating: PG???
What: intro log!

[it's not like Korwa isn't used to roughing it. being a skyfarer means lots of over night trips to small towns, camping outside in unfamiliar caves and forests— plenty of experiences that should have prepared her for the temple's spartan provisions for new arrivals. Korwa would be fine with it, honestly, if she had been allowed to back a bag, like she usually is for lengthier adventures.
as it is, she's without a change of clothing, or at least one that's up to her rigorous standards. the unseen servants brought her several different items that sure are. technically wearable. Korwa can't spin wheat into gold, and she can't turn linen into satin or silk, but that doesn't mean she's just going to wear something off the proverbial rack. perish the thought.
she's settled for systematically dismantling everything she's been given, laying each separated piece of cloth out on the floor, gradually taking over ever inch of space in her room until she's forced out into the hall. it would've been easier to do make up a design first and then disassemble the raw materials, but the fabric isn't the most inspiring she's had to work with. this is going to take some serious brainstorming.
while she was sitting up at the start of her design session, by the time some happens on her, she's probably sprawled out on the hallway floor, quill tapping listlessly on a well used piece of paper.]
Aaah, I can feel the darkness closing in. This may be the end for me ...

[Korwa hasn't cooked for herself in a while. the Grancypher has a dedicated group of cooks who easily whip up 3 square meals a day for an ever expanding crew, so she just hasn't really had the need to make anything on her own, save for the occasional 3 am bagel, or something similarly simple with very little required on her part. in the temple, however, it seems as though she'll have to call upon her own skills to see her through the time between breakfast and dinner.
it's not like she's incapable, or anything like that. she can boil an egg, or scramble an egg, and really, now that she's thinking about it, most of her culinary experience is limited to egg preparation. she had survived mostly on takeout and coffee back before she had moved her studio to an airship and was simply designing full time, so her experience is lacking. no time like the present to broaden her horizons though, right?
fried rice seems like a safe bet for something that shouldn't be beyond even her inexperienced grasp of food preparation. she's got the rice, she's got the egg, she's put the rice and the egg together, and now she's got ... egg rice.]
Can I trouble you for a minute? [if you're in the kitchen, she's calling out to whoever's nearby.]
What do you like to eat with rice?

[something else? hit me up on discord @ fi#6003 if you want to hash another scenario out!

[she can sense the dubious tone in Reinhardtzar's voice, and while she is embarrassed to have her lacking culinary skills outed in front of someone she actually knows, there's really no way to easily play this any other way.]
I don't cook for myself very often, so I don't know a lot about what ingredients taste good together.

[Reinhardtzar's already thinking about how to make it decent without any soy around.]
But honestly...you'd probably have better luck doing away with the eggs entirely. Rice goes with pretty much anything left by itself.
