After fighting those Shadows, Kainé has long since ditched the spear (sorry A4) and instead is using her newfound magic -- the ability to use ice. It has most certainly gotten stronger here and she has learned to use it better. When they get back, she is most certainly going to do whatever she can to work on controlling it and see what sort of limits it has.
