[OPEN] Well. That Didn't Go Quite As Planned
Who: EVERYONE
Where: The Temple of Beginnings
When: Immediately After The End.
Rating: PG-13, may vary by thread
What: You fall, you pick yourself back up and you move on. Or at least, you try.
Fished Out Of Water
One minute, you are witnessing the fabric of an entire world implode as it is literally ripped apart by powers unknown. The next, that tell-tale twist somewhere beneath your sternum, before you are bodily YANKED away from Akvos, away from the ocean and the Queen and the King and the Princess.
And land back on (mostly) solid, dry ground.
Welcome back to the Temple of Beginnings. Don't worry, there's no hurry for you to get back up just yet.
Hey, Howya Doin'?
Once you do get back up, now is the time to be taking stock of the situation - yours, your friends, and even those new merfolk neighbours (who may need a hand getting their fins back into the water). There is also the missing members of the Circle to consider: people who disappeared on the journey to Akvos, and those who never made it back..
(There's also that small matter with a certain 'witchess-san' that may be a cause for concern to some more than others.)
Whatever the case, it's a lot to process right now. Take the time you have, because you don't know if it'll be enough for what you need.
[[ OOC: Here's an open post for threads reacting to the end of the Akvos world hop. Feel free to use the above prompts, and/or make your own! ]]

rest
Miyuki's been in the kitchen for a while at this point, making his own. Him having trouble sleeping was a chronic issue for him, only amplified due to everything going on, so there was no reason not to just burn the midnight oil and get some coffee.
Once he spots Maes, he pauses. ]
Oh. Sorry, I'll be done here in a moment. [ He hadn't asked if there was a curfew or not, but if there was, he was definitely violating it. ]
no subject
Take your time. The coffee isn't going anywhere and it's not like I'm in a rush to get to sleep.
[He pulls out at chair at the kitchen table, figuring he could just wait here.]
I should have guessed there would be others who would have similar ideas.
no subject
[ Not with so much on their mind, and not knowing what'll happen day by day anyway. The coffee's just about done, and Miyuki goes to grab... well, he'll need two mugs now, probably. ]
no subject
[The human body wasn't made to go with zero sleep. After awhile it was likely that many of them would at least doze and, maybe even eventually, get a decent night sleep in the weeks ahead.]
Man I do not miss all-nighters though.
no subject
[ He's used to it, but he's not exactly used to running on zero sleep. That much is rough. ]
Did you usually do so back home?
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
Not recently. That was more something I did years ago.
[During a war it may have been difficult to sleep, but it could also get you killed if you passed out like that. Sleep was then fitful when Elysia had come into his life, but that was a different kind of sleepless night.]
Don't tell me you've never pulled an all-nighter.
no subject
[ After all, what kind of work would he even be expected to do overnight? He no longer had anything like homework, or at least, he didn't have it at this time. ]
That's true, in any case. It's not good if I fall asleep at my desk, but so I've had to still try to hold off from napping the entire day. Can't sleep during a shift either.
