AU INFO: AU QUESTIONS, CLASSES, RACES, STEP BY STEP CHARACTER BUILD GUIDE

When you wake up, you are in a room. It looks to be relatively well-decorated, rustic. The bed is comfortable, the linens clean, and the quilt is nice. You can hear the bustle of people outside. The city is beginning to wake. You do not have the opportunity to look into a mirror, or anything else: there's bang on the door.

"Oi! Breakfast is bein' served! Get your asses up or you're not eatin'!"

Coming outside the room reveals that you seem to be in an inn. There are dozens of rooms along the halls, and a massive eating space below. There are wall to wall tables stacked with food, drink, and people sitting down to eat. They may look strange and unique to some of you. There are people with elongated ears, talking dragon-folk, bird-people, and regular humans. It's a diverse crowd, boisterous and loud, laughing and joking.

Before you can really catch your bearings, a friendly dwarvish woman bustles past, calling over her shoulder: "Never been to Mirabar, have you?"

And, before you can really respond to her, your watch lights up.

A NOTE FROM YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD WITCH.
"Oh, look at that! It worked! It actually worked! I can see . . . oh, look at you! You look fantastic! What a delightful world! I am positively green with envy!"

The noise from Astoria sounds delighted, and those who have experienced world jumps before will know that Astoria reaching out after the jump is a bit . . . unusual. Usually, she can't communicate -- and while the image is fuzzy, it is definitely there, and she's speaking rather quickly.

"I hope you enjoy your time in Faerun; the magic in that world is quite powerful, and it looks like a few of you are fitting in just fine . . . remember, find joy in the darkness, and please do your best to help these people! It seems like they just need a bit of fun. And don't forget, whatever you do, don't forget to-"

And then, the image cuts off.

Welcome to Mirabar -- a city full of magic, adventure, kayak racing, and quite a lot to do. The main central city itself, the capital, is a walled fortress, with a forest surrounding it, and a small cluster of villages outside of the walls itself. The Guard allows you to stray the perimeter of Mirabar, but anything further will get you a one-way ticket right back to the city gates. Don't worry, though! There is certainly plenty to do, both within the walled city and in the surrounding outskirts.

LOCALITIES.
Mirabar is a smaller city Faerun, but it has a rich history, a long-suffering head of state who employs adventurers on the regular, and the eager people here to meet you, employ you, and entertain you.

There are be taverns to frequent, inns to stay in, a guild to pick up adventuring jobs, farm work, mining work, welding work. The most desperate thing that Mirabar needs is for people to lend a hand. It may not be the most exciting job, but it will be appreciated.
The Silver Blade is an adventuring guild is operated by a plethora of folks, but the elvish woman at the counter seems to be the one in charge. A series of tasks will be available for you to take up, ranging from deliveries through dangerous parts of the outskirts of town, to slaying monsters. The woman seems to be willing to pay in coin, so long as you bring back what she asks for. She doesn't tolerate nonsense.

The Dusty Coffer is a tavern that looks to be rough-and-tumble, but full of good food, good drink, and good music. There’s a bard that lingers in the back who is willing to take on new students/performers, and can pay, too! You can get any range of fare here, and while it’s not a five-star establishment, the food and drink is delicious.

The Blacksmith’s Burden doubles as a mine and a blacksmith’s forge. You can put in a day’s hard work here and buy weaponry. On one hand, you can learn how to make your own stuff! On the other hand, you can totally just buy stuff. They also sell basic tinkering tools and other materials to forge your own equipment. The entire establishment is run by an eager young half-elf named Dillon. He's missing two fingers. It was probably an accident.

The Heroes' Hearth is the neighborhood inn, specifically designed to tailor to adventurer's! It is the main hub of where the Circle will be staying. You will need to pay for your rooms. They're cheap, but the keeper of the Heroes' Hearth (a delightful dwarvish woman named Hilda) is a strict mistress. She expects proper payment when payment is due! She is also a wonderful cook, and will feed you until you explode.

➜ There is a library, full of texts concerning the history of Mirabar and Faerun. There is also a fishing yard by the river. It is full of little boats and leather-strapped kayaks, which transport goods in and out of the city. There are also shops to purchase clothing, basic tools, and ingredients for spellcraft.

➜ It's a robust city with a focus on steel weaponry. You won't find a lot of magical weaponry, but you may get lucky at the Widow's Weep. It is a weird little thrift store run by an eccentric dragonborn who seems to have a lot of broken magical wares. They're cheap, but may not work correctly.
There’s a ton to do, and the people of Mirabar are inclined to help you get settled in (and also help you spend your money).

TASK BOARD.
There is a giant announcement board of sorts, in the center of town, where the patrons and workers in Mirabar can put up jobs for hire. Suspiciously, the task board seems to be centrally positioned outside of The Silver Blade, the adventurer's guild. Almost as if the guild wants to check out whoever is looking at the tasks . . .

All of the below tasks can be taken up by an unlimited number of people, so if you see a bunch of people signing up for a task you really want to play out - don't be discouraged! Also, remember to submit your work submissions to the appropriate thread on the OOC post.
THE SILVER BLADE: Adventurer's Guild.
↠ "The village neighboring our own has asked for our help. Predators taken up residence and have been attacking farmers and travelers. Beware, for they are wolf-like creatures, equipped with poisonous fangs and impeccable hearing. It’s your job to evacuate the village, take care of the threat and ensure that nobody gets caught in the crossfire. Need 2-4 Adventurers; the work is difficult. Will pay 100 GP per wolf head, 500 GP max reward."

↠ "The alleged “prison” in Darkwood hardly serves its purpose. A group of prisoners escaped, and you've got to put them back where they belong. Far from a surprise when thieves run this town. Just one prisoner will do, unless you’re desperate for coin. Be careful; they’re seasoned rogues and will do anything to escape your grasp. 100 GP dead, 500 GP alive. We would prefer the idiot alive."

↠ “A woman named Fionn lives across Blackwater Bridge — she needs you to deliver a satchel of love letters to a man who will remain unnamed. It’s a secret, you see. She would take them herself, but she her family is too prestigious for her to afford any...gossip. The journey will require you to go through the Nymph’s Forest, and they have a knack of casting mind altering spells. This will be a bit of a recurring thing, so try not to read them, will you? 50 GP for delivery, minus 5 GP for every love letter lost. No reimbursements for injuries."

↠ “There are a particular set of nasty creatures that are inhabiting the eaves in the nearby Temple. Ordinarily, I would tell the priest to deal with it, but he seems to be convinced that they’re of an evil nature. I personally think they are just bats, but check them out, will you? Apparently they spew some sort of acid. I would bring a coat. 5 GP per 5 sets of bat wings. Bonus 15 GP if you bring one back alive."

↠ “This is a bit of an unsavory task, but...if you’re willing to betray the law a bit, you’ll be rewarded appropriately. An aristocrat in Zledfield is in possession of a prized, ethereal jewel that once belonged to the Convocation of Witches and Wizards of our city. It’s incredibly powerful and enables one to harness any power they might desire with a single tough. But he’s stolen it, and we need to steal it back. Sneak into his manor and return to us safely. Try to avoid the guards. And the attack gryffons. And the mote. And the very man himself. 2500 GP available for the successful retrieval of the gem.”
THE DUSTY COFFER: Tavern.
↠ “Come hither, ladies, gentlemen and everything in between! Looking for the richest of riches? Put on a play that brings in the crowd. We were thinking, ah...what was it? Romulus and Judith? Or Hamlamb, Aladjinn, oh...whatever strikes your fancy. Just make sure it’s good! 8 SP per performance, plus tips!”

↠ “Hey. You hear about Rhug’s warning? The man who runs this joint? He’s been complainin’ about how the mead’s been going missing...well, I know you need the coin — not hard to tell from how you look. I’ve been selling it under the table for a steal, and let’s just say my pockets have been fuller than ever. You help me smuggle some out and you’ll get a good cut of my profits. 50 GP per load, cut in half if you lose some product.”

↠ “We’re always in need of bartenders and cooks, and our last cook enchanted our damn cutlery. It keeps singing and dancing in the kitchens, like it’s some kind of musical. Bards . . . anyway, we’d appreciate the help trying to tame them. Looks like singing along with them shuts them up for a time, but we’ve got to get food out sooner rather than later. 8 SP for a night's work, plus tips."

↠ “Some of patrons keep bringin’ their kids around here, but we can’t serve the little ones. But there’s no point in throwing a good customer to the wind, is there? We’ve got a big room upstairs. Babysit for the night and you’ll get something good out of it...we can negotiate. Reward is 8 CP per kid, plus a free round of drinks for you and your mates.”
THE BLACKSMITH'S BURDEN: Mining/Forging.
↠ "We’re in desperate need of ore, and the caves have got some sort of flying bat-things wanderin’ about… lady down at the Silver Blade says they’re just bats, but the priest has got ‘em too, and I’m tellin’ you, those fucking things aren’t bats. They melt your steel and everything . . . anyway, bring up some ore for us, and we’ll pay you in weaponry, if you like."

↠ “We’ve got a big order from the Council to make a bunch of decorations to throw up around the lamp fixtures, for the big festival . . .and we need a lot of painting done. Grab a brush and help us paint up these lamp posts in our colors, and careful not to mix them up! We don’t need bright yellow garish lookin’ stuff, alright? We'll give you some supplies and 5 CP an hour worked.”

↠ “Created a new sword fit for dragon slayin’. I want to see it in action — you mind using it in the local tournament comin’ up this week? Win and they’ll give you a handsome earning. Lose and well, you’ll still get somethin’ from me...a win win situation, ain’t it? 150 GP for winning the tournament, win-lose, you get the sword."

↠ "We've got rats. They're fuckin' everywhere. I'm thinking Rodrick had somethin' to do with it, pissed off that sorceress at the Silver Blade proper . . . anyway, I'll give you 5 CP per rat. I'll double it if you drop it off on her doorstep."
THE FISHING YARD: And surrounding areas.
↠ “Help me…! I’m a failure of a sorceress...my love potion fell flat. But my presentation is in an hour...if you could just — if you and a friend of yours could just...take a sip in front of the audience and pretend like you’re MADLY in love, I’ll pay you well! I promise! Both of you! And I’ll create any kind of potion you desire...the other ones work just fine, I assure you!”

↠ “I need some fisherman ready to catch The Big One . . . or that’s what I call the little bastard evadin’ me. It’s a big beauty, with rainbow scales and big teeth . . . I just want the meat, but I’ll give you the scales and teeth, plus treat you to dinner with a friend if you help me catch it!”

↠ “Boat races, boat races! We need to practice for the big race at the festival! We’re testing out a new type of kayak, and sure, it might have a few . . . buoyancy problems, but that’s what we need you lot to test it for, yeah? We’ll pay you 9 SP per ride, 1 GP if you win the race without sinking, and you get to test drive a new enterprise!”

[The weasel in question curls around the ball and rolls around with it. He chitters and bounces away with a paw on the ball like a sports player. He kind of misses Garrison sports events and social anything. Kind of. He didn’t really participate unless he had to. Shiro motions for someone to throw the ball at him and sits on his haunches.

Catching the ball should be easy. He risks a glance at Keith and gives him a weasel thumbs up. As close to it as weasel paws can do.]
lonered: (S804)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-04-27 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
[...wow. This nerd. Is a talented weasel. Keith doesn't bother trying to hide a laugh when the kids start clapping, until one clambers to grab up the ball and toss it at the weasel in question.

Keith meanwhile just shakes his head at the thumbs up. But there's a fondness in the expression he can't hide. In all honesty he hadn't known what to expect when they'd agreed to play babysitter.]

Hey, good throw.

[He offers the ball-thrower a high-five which the kid in question is quick to return.]
spaceforged: (...huh)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-04-27 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Shiro manages to catch the ball and knock it back towards Keith. It's a game. Keith should play just like anyone else. He knows he didn't get to play that much as a kid. They can make up for that right now for both of them.

He bounces as if he's a furry spring and claps his paws together. It's not as much of a surprise that Keith is good with kids. He's a kind person and knows how to treat people with respect. The Garrison didn't understand that.

But any child raised or taught by Keith would turn out just fine. Wait. Where is he going with this? The ball hits him squarely and bowls him over. He circles around it and knocks it back with a paw wave of 'I'm fine!' before anyone can ask.]
lonered: (S733)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-04-29 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh. Shiro. Keith winces when the weasel gets struck square on by the ball. Oops. But good. Shiro is okay. Keith laughs at the wave, shaking his head.]

Shake it off, Shiro. You've got this.

[The kids at least seem to think so. Thought one of them does walk over to reach out and pat at Shiro's furry little head to make sure he's okay.

And Keith watches. Adorable. He's really great with the kids, that much is plain to see.

Of course, when they have their own kids, Shiro probably won't be able to turn into small, but he's sure they--

Wait.

Keith goes very very still all at once as that thought lands. Give him a second. Keith.exe has crashed and needs to be rebooted.]
spaceforged: (But when your stitch comes loose)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-01 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
[He shakes himself once and pushes the ball back towards the waiting kids. He catches Keith’s eye and pauses again as the ball is sailing right for him. Why did he look so shocked? He transforms back, catching the ball in his right hand.

He quietly asks the kids to go snag a snack. Once they wander off for food he turns to Keith.]

Hey, you okay there? You looked like you needed a slight break. [Shiro brushes his fingers across his cheek and leans closer.] Want to take time being a beast to entertain them?
lonered: (s732)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-02 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Keith continues staring, feeling a heat rising in his face as Shiro transforms back and he finds himself looking into his eyes properly. That doesn't stop him from leaning into that touch though. Nothing could honestly. He's spent so much of his life withdrawing, flinching back from everyone and everything, and Shiro was the first and is the biggest exception to that.

That said, he can't exactly answer simply. "Sorry, just thinking about our hypothetical future children." wouldn't fly at all. What would Shiro even say?]

I... yeah. I'm good. And sure. Good idea. I'll take over playing cute.

[This is also a good way to hide, given that in the next moment instead of Keith there is a small, fluffy mess of a black cat. Keith opens his mouth to mew at Shiro before twining around his legs. Don't mind him.]
spaceforged: (pic#12504555)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-02 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[His eyebrows raise as a beautiful light pink dusts Keith's cheeks. Something is up. He won't press. When Keith is ready to discuss it he'll bring it up. Their relationship is built on letting each other be themselves and keep their secrets until they want to share them.

He cups Keith's cheek in his hand and smooths his hand down the side of his neck.]
Okay.

[It occurs to him how good being druids is for both of them. There are those times they just don't want to talk. Being is easier. Being is now. He drops his hand down to scratch behind black furred ears. He glances at the ball. It would work for a cat.

Shiro reclaims the ball just as the kids return and rolls it across the floor. Go on. Go be cute.]
lonered: (S805)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-03 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Shiro is right. Keith will bring it up once he figures out how to put it into words that don't threaten to fluster him straight to death.

For now he's a cat, and yeah. It's a little easier not having to worry about the right or wrong words and can just lift straight up head butting right into Shiro's hand, purring before he even realizes he's the one making the sound.

Oh. Well. That's fine.

He trots after the ball and is met with an excited 'Kitty!' from one of the little girls as he leaps and pounces on the ball before batting it back towards them and bounding right along after it.]
spaceforged: (pic#12504536)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-03 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
[Shiro grins as the kids delight in the black cat in their midst. Keith makes an adorable kitty cat. The ball gets sent back for another game of animal vs kids. It's as spirited as a weasel vs kids.

He knew it Keith is wonderful with kids. He could easily see him helping them with some problem or work, quiet and watching to help guide them back. He would have been terrible for recruiting for the Garrison. But, only because he's at his best when he's in command and comfortable.

When the kids get tired of the game and drop off to nap Shiro changes shape too into the large black panther. He settles so the kids can lay on him and stretches one massive paw out to Keith. Come nap?]
lonered: (S6-28)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-03 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Keith takes a moment to just look at Shiro currently being used as a pillow by the kids, which is adorable, entirely sweet.

He prances his way over, nuzzles his way up under Shiro's chin in a very feline headbutt before he curls up against him, reaching out and kneading at the larger cat's dark fur, purring.

What? It's comfortable and warm, and everything in his currently feline set of instincts tells him this is the actual best. The person part of him agrees.]
spaceforged: (how many dirt naps have i taken??)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-03 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
[He closes his eyes as Keith comes over and nuzzles up under his chin. He chuffs, rubbing his chin on top of his head. Tiny needle-like claws pierce his fur and graze against his skin. He chuffs again, settling himself comfortably as if they were still in human shape and curled up together.

His tail curls and cracks open one eye to peer down at him. The children are dozing on him and this feels...nice. Safe. They make it safe for moments like these. The thought is...soothing.

He's been aware since he became a Paladin that he could use what he used to protect others. It was another thing having a peaceful moment to feel the peace created by his hand and the hands of others. He drifts off with into a light doze feeling calmer that he has since the ship.]
lonered: (S805)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-07 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
[It is nice. Too nice. The whole moment, honestly. Warm and safe. His thoughts run along similar lanes to Shiro. He's used to fighting to keep people safe, protect who he can. But taking care of people, tiny people, that's new. And nice. There it is again, that unexpected thought to a future. He ah... well.

Either way, he's just going to purr himself to sleep right now, curled up close and comfortable.

Once they're relieved of babysitting duties and people-shaped again, he realizes he probably ought to talk to Shiro.]
spaceforged: (Feeling lost? Yeah he does that a lot.)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-08 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[It isn’t long after they wake up that the parents arrive to claim their children. He watches them and faint memories of his mother sweeping his hair out of his eyes or his grandmother quietly holding her hand our drift up like old ashes from an ancient fire. He greets the parents and puts on his public face with a small smile and assuring them there was no trouble at all.

Better than watching a class of cadets really. He wisely didn’t say that. For one no need to insult Keith. In hindsight he can see some of the flaws in accessing pilot abilities namely their ability to work with each other. He has had a long many nights trying to reassemble and adjust cadet training. It gave him something to think about. When the parents are gone he turns to Keith, letting his guard now that they’re alone.]

Dinner in our room or down in the main room? We have the coin to spare for privacy.
lonered: (S804)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-08 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[Keith makes his own polite goodbyes, assurances that the kids were great, no trouble, everything went fine.

And it did, even if he wound up having a few unexpected revelations.

Once they're alone, he makes his way close enough to Shiro to thread his fingers through the other man's.]

Our room?

[Yes? A little bit of privacy sounds nice. But that's Keith's general tendency.]
spaceforged: (pic#12391812)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-09 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[He takes his hand in his and gently tugs him towards the door.] Our room.

[Shiro echoes as he steps outside and spares a moment to make the request. He leads Keith down the hall to their room and pulls him inside, turning to smile at him.] I'll light the lanterns.

...that went far better than I thought it would. It was nice.
lonered: (s748)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-10 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Keith lets himself be led, leaning back against the door once they're back in their room. He watches Shiro as the other man moves to light the lanterns, hanging back and turning the words over in his head, tumbling them around with the thoughts that had kept running through his mind at the time.]

Yeah... it really was, wasn't it?

[Shockingly nice. Visions of the future nice. Damn it. Get it together Keith.] You were really great with the kids.

spaceforged: (pic#12733328)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-13 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
So were you. [Shiro says as he lights the lanterns one by one. Their room is bathed in the soft glow of the dancing flames. Neither of them need to sleep. It shouldn't be dangerous to have flames tucked away behind glass and hanging from reinforced hooks on the walls.]

We've explored the universe...I never really stopped and thought about, [He gestures lamely with his left hand as he sits on the edge of the bed.]

I never thought about what could happen beyond the war. [Silence falls for a moment as he looks towards the window. He had never thought he'd survive the war. He still might not but he can see the possibility he might.] ...I'd want to help people rebuild and explore the universe but...

[He has a silent internal struggle that shows on his face. Worry, apprehension, mild fear, then determination. He looks up and gestures for Keith to come closer.] I want to...share whatever future I have with you.
lonered: (Default)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-14 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)

[Oh. Oh see this sounds suspiciously like the paths that Keith's thoughts had taken, suddenly veering off to think about a future, when he'd never really expected to have one before. Not as a kid in the group homes, not as a Garrison drop out and not when he'd been drawn into and then flung himself further into an intergalactic war.

But he wants one. He wants a future with Shiro. He follows over closer, standing just in front of where Shiro is sitting as he speaks. He reaches out before he realizes he's doing it, tucking back that longer-than-usual hair behind a pointed ear.]

Takashi... [His chest squeezes at the words, and he nods.] I want to see the stars, help put the universe back together... and I want to do it with you.

[Screw it. This is were he climbs right into Shiro's lap. It's his favorite place to be, why pretend otherwise.] I want that too... to share that with you. A future. [A momentary hesitation,] A family. [And now it's Keith's turn to look worried, apprehensive.]

spaceforged: (I wonder what you're doing)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-15 09:56 am (UTC)(link)
[His heart speeds up and he grabs for Keith's hips to keep him in his lap. The idea of letting him go now is unthinkable. Shiro leans up as he tugs Keith closer to him. They've shared a similiar vision since they established themselves as equals.

Keith is the razor-sharp edge of the sword they both represent as Paladin and Lion.]
...I want that too, one day.

[He breathes just before he kisses him. He keeps it brief, drawing back only enough to murmur.] When that day happens, you'll do fine and I'll be right there with you.
lonered: (s707)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-15 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Keith exhales a breath he hadn't realized he was holding at Shiro's answer. He shifts closer all too happily, winding his arms around Shiro's neck, leaning into him. By now he knows he's not going to scare Shiro off, but planning for a future is still a new idea for him. But it's a good sort of new.

There's a flicker of a smile on his face in the moment before he's kissing Shiro back.]
Right. We'll tackle it together.

[And he's not done kissing yet either so he closes the minimal distance between them and getting back to that.]
spaceforged: (pic#12504552)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-16 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[He savors the kiss and without warning tips back, keeping a tight grip on Keith. Come on. If Keith let’s it happen he’ll end up sprawled on Shiro’s chest. Either way he grins.]

We will. Just like we always do. You’re my partner. As long we exist, I’ll never let you face anything alone. [He pats Keith’s leg with his scarred hand.] Unless you ask me to.
lonered: (S804)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-17 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Keith goes. No denying gravity. Or Shiro. Besides this is pretty comfortable. He settles in, bracing one arm against the bed to one side of Shiro, a grin of his own findings its way over his features.

His other hand lifts to toy with a lock of Shiro's hair, thoughtfully now, his expression softening.]

As long as we exist, huh? So... definitely long term?

[Yes?]
spaceforged: (And I don't know how this is wrong)

[personal profile] spaceforged 2019-05-18 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
[He raises both of his eyebrows. The meaning should be obvious. Still, Keith asked and he's never one to ignore his lover's needs.]

Yes, definitely long term. [He slips one hand up to push Keith's braid back onto his back. Shiro smooths his hand up the back of his neck. His thumb rubs just under the sharply defined jaw.

His smile is soft, one of his gentle looks reserved just for Keith.]

When I think of the future, [He tips his head back, surrendering to Keith's touch.] I think of how I'll share it with you.

[He reaches Keith's hand in his hair and puts it on his chest.] What we'll accomplish...
lonered: (s707)

[personal profile] lonered 2019-05-21 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
[It really is obvious, even if every now and again it strikes him particularly hard, that Shiro fully intends to stay with him -- that they've been through so much together to get to this point. Keith's life had been a series of temporary, transient things, people and places flowing in and out of his life. Until Shiro.

Now he has Shiro. His mother. The other Paladins. He has people and things that feel like they're meant to last. He found his anchor in Shiro, and then found out that he'd anchored himself to a shooting star. And he wouldn't have it any other way.

He leans in to kiss that smile -- by far one of his favorite things to see.]

Me too. [His fingers curl into the fabric of Shiro's shirt.] It's exciting, thinking about it.
