What: The Circle gets together for some research on what this place is all about. Please treat this like a mingle log--feel free to put up a starter and tag around!

The Library (hopefully) promises to have the answers that the Welcome Committee and the general robot on the street don't. Characters can access the information by computer, and the Library has just about everything that's happened in Struxta.

That's thousands of years of information to wade through, so get to work!

Maybe! They might need to dig up a laptop, but I don't see why they couldn't.

That's the kind of device you're used to using in your home for your own research and work, is it not?

Yep! They're suuuuper convenient.

But only if it can connect to a central resource, correct? Or else you wouldn't be able to access the information you need for your work.

We've got ways to do that at home. I can connect to computers on the other side of the planet if I have to.

But even being able to connect to those computers doesn't guarantee that the information you will find is correct, isn't that true?

Sure, but it's the same with books. You just need to keep a critical eye on the research you read.

[Considering what they had been doing this entire time...] The sheer volume of data that can be generated using computers is far more overwhelming though.

They make data analysis and compilation way easier, that's for sure.

[She laughs softly, shaking her head a little ruefully.] I'll have to rely on you for that. I can perhaps wrap my mind around the concepts after some more study, but I don't think I can ever adapt to it as easily and naturally as you, Eliza.

I just have the advantage of growing up with the stuff.

That's true, I suppose. But in a place like this... I can't help feeling very much out of my depth. Compared to El Minha, I haven't the slightest clue how to begin.
